The meaning of "leverage the evidence" is unclear.

Hi @jshdma, Your point is well taken. "Leverage the evidence" is not plain language. I take it to mean "use the evidence" and that the articles in that section will present evidence-based information about aging well and how people can apply the scientific evidence into their daily lives.

"Leverage" means to use something to maximum advantage. So "Leverage the Evidence" within the context of the 12 Strategies for Healthy Aging refers to not just using medical research and knowledge to age well, but to use it to its maximum advantage. If you follow the Charter House page on Mayo Clinic Connect, tips from the Leverage the Evidence newsletter will be coming out soon!

Thanks for this clarification. The term "Leverage" iis most commonly found in relation to financial transactions. Of course I could have looked it up! Maybe at any age one should use a reference book. .
