Lymphocytes in the esophagus: Lymphocytic esophagitis (LE)
I have been diagnosed with lymphocytes in my esophagus and I was wondering if anyone else has been. It’s been a long 4 years for me and when they finally get me on the right medication for my GI issues; they find something else!
Someone please help me; I have Crohn’s, an esophageal web that has to be dilated every 3 months, erosion in my stomach from the Crohn’s and now this!
I need a new regimen or something!

Hello @kaforester3
You post an interesting question. It appears that lymphocytic esophagitis (LE) is considered rare.
I was not familiar with this type of esophagitis so I checked on Mayo Clinic's website and found this information.
https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/esophagitis/symptoms-causes/syc-20361224#:~:text=Lymphocytic%20esophagitis%20(LE)%20is%20an,eosinophilic%20esophagitis%20or%20to%20GERD%20.
In this article it says that "LE may be related to eosinophilic esophagitis or to GERD." In thinking about this, I'm wondering, did this diagnosis follow a change in medications you were taking?
It is important to find a very good specialist who is well-versed in treating any unusual disorder such as this. Are you seeking a second opinion with a specialist who has some experience with LE? What does your current doctor say about your treatment?
I see you have already received some help from a Mentor.... I am sorry I can't help except to say this is an amazing web site; I have a multitude of other issues and as my husband says (he does too) take one day at a time and I respond.... can I take one hour at a time. Sorry to hear about your illnesses and hopefully you can at least find out what has helped others.... take care and I wish you the very best. J. (Canada)
