Doc's Office Postponed Mammogram
Received a call Friday from the scheduler who said she had some questions regarding my scheduled mammogram for next week. Had I had the Covid vaccine and if so, what was the date? Glad to report that I'd gotten my second Moderna on 2/5. She said that in that case I needed to wait a month for the mammogram because they were finding increased instances of swollen lymph nodes under the arms of patients who'd gotten mammograms only a week or two following the vaccine.
Mine was just the routine annual test so it was easy to reschedule. I was just surprised by her call to reschedule.

@fiesty76 It sounds like you are wanting to give other women this information. Did I get that right?
You will notice that I added this discussion to Women's Health. I did this due to the nature of the topic. This discussion is also part of the original COVID-19 group.
@fiesty76 That is an interesting side effect of the vaccine. I wonder if it was just Moderna, or any COVID-19 vaccine? Nosy me, I want to know how this side effect was brought to the center's attention, since I have not heard anything about this!
Yeah for you to have an aware imaging center, and hope you were able to reschedule for a convenient date.
Ginger
I had read that in the news that they found this out.

Good morning @fiesty76- Coincidently I read about this yesterday. I have a mammogram scheduled for March 12th so I might also get a call.
Thanks, @gingerw, and yes I was rescheduled for the mammogram.
