@michaelw9dy- Good morning and Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. What type of cancer does your wife have? Can you tell me more about her? I had my first shot a week ago. I had Moderna so I have to wait 3 more weeks for my second one. My husband just received his second one. I am a lung cancer survivor and I encourage everyone to get vaccinated unless otherwise told by a physician.

I don't care if I have to wear a mask for a few years ahead or not be around large crowds. Our world has changed with this pandemic and we have to adjust to it and respect science.

Did either of you have trouble with any side effects? How is your wife doing now?
