@jfperrone I am a Type I diabetic (due to having pancreatic cancer). I, too, am on the FreeStyle libre. Mine only let's me know what my blood glucose is when I use a reader or an app on my phone. It's so easy I check my levels much more than 4 times a day like I did when I had to stick my finger. Another technology that I love is the insulin pump. I have the Medtronics 630G. I enter my glucose levels and how many carbs I am going to eat and it calculates how much insulin I need. And if my glucose is running high between meals, I can give myself some extra insulin which I never would have done when I was giving myself shots using the insulin pen. Yes, eating healthy and exercise is still very important for over all health, but this technology makes testing glucose levels and giving myself insulin much easier.

The condition and needs are usually different between type I and type !! diabetes, so no one should consider the treatments the same, I have never needed insulin and now I won't need to worry about that for the near future because my body is closer to working as it normally should. Please don't get confused with my experiences because needing insulin changes the treatment protocol. Use of testing equipment is probably more helpful with type ! .
