Flu virus mutates all the time. That's why we have to get the vaccine every single year. There is a lot of guess work going into development of each year's flu vaccine because it is difficult to know how the virus will mutate before the shots are ready to be administered. So virus mutation is nothing new to humans. Here is an article about the virus mutation and vaccines effectiveness. https://time.com/5927538/covid-19-mutations-vaccines

Just saw on the news that the vaccine is effective against the latest mutations. They are still looking at a South Africa mutation.

Frankly, I think people who are reluctant to take it should just wait. Give it to those of us who are ready and talk to the reluctant ones after everyone who wants it gets it. I get upset every time I see someone not vulnerable, like young healthy members of Congress or hospital administrators, getting the shot as an example for reluctant people. It just means one less shot available for me.

I also think there may be a day when proof of vaccination is required for certain activities, flying, for example.

Thank you for sharing the Time’s article...good emphasis on sharp point..US needs to enter the sequencing work with rest of developed nations at task...good education on virulence.
