I would like to just say that im very concerned that among the Medical Community there is a lot of major opinions as to this Virus. Some seem to reley on certain people and agencies mostly based on who the Government has used. But my concern is we seem to treat them as authority and any Doctors who have a different opinion or experience is being ignored by the Media and it seems social media also. It feels like censorship and treating us like we need to only listen to approved agencies. So I really would like serious consideration of some of the doctors that have other evidence also looked at and have them come.to a consensus. So one very experienced doctor I watched recently is Dr Lee Merrit and Dr Andrew Hill who if they were my doctors I would feel better that they are not just following the crowd but looking at all aspects. Just my take but I feel uninformed as to what is truth.

@danab- Good morning Dana. I agree that there is much confusion still afloat in the covid world. One promising thing that I read this morning is the possibility of standardized masks. But, Dr. Fauci, in this video, quotes the CDC and says that it might not happen. I disagree with him. I think that in the future we will see very good masks that won't be uncomfortable. I think that as the new administration gains more of a footing there will be more standardized protocols. But remember, Dana, doctors are notorious for disagreeing on major issues.

I very much agree with the argument that we vaccinate for too many illnesses. However, for me, I feel that the Covid vaccine is the quickest way for us to get out of this serious pandemic. Like everyone in this group, I’ve been in strict lockdown for nearly a year. I live alone and am growing weary of the isolation and fear of catching Covid. I’ve done loads of research and I am reasonably confident about the benefits of the vaccine. Am I nervous about getting it? Yes! But I’m going ahead with it. For those considering the vaccine but worried about potential complications, I found this helpful - https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/info-by-product/clinical-considerations.html#Appendix-A

@danab.

Mayo Clinic's advice is good to follow. They don't generally have self-serving motives but do rely on medical research and science. Those are good criteria.

There is less censorship now than in the past so I don't think we have to be as concerned as we were once.

I agree, would should hear all sides. There shouldn't be the censorship of opposing professional advice from Doctors. It is scary to live in this current counter culture. I am watching and waiting to see if I should move forward with the vaccination. For now I am going to wait.
