My husband's sleep study results mentioned the number of interruptions in REM sleep and it was in the hundreds. CPAP helps him. Parasomnia has other possible symptoms and you might ask about that. Avoid benzodiasapines/clonazepam as there are other, better tolerated, remedies out there. For me, the more insomnia, the more anxiety about being able to get to sleep. THC/CBD has helped, as have basic yoga stretches before sleep. I take a percoset at night and that seems to help, but still searching for answers. I typically wake up an hour into nighttime sleep and am wide awake.
