I was experiencing the same pain, had physical therapy which helped, had a cortisone injection which helped short term, and eventually had an MRI to discover I had a torn biceps tendon and rotator cuff tear. Had surgery in May and went through PT after surgery to rehab shoulder. Was experiencing similar pain in my other shoulder, same protocol and had surgery on my other shoulder two weeks ago. Your pain sounds identical to mine. I would recommend starting with an experienced Physical therapist to start. Many people have success and never need surgery. I wasn’t so lucky.....surgery is a long road to recovery but I have no regrets as I couldn’t have lived with the pain I had for the rest of my life.

Hi Carol,
I very much appreciate your reply. You are correct in saying that our symptoms are alike. I am going to see a Physiotherapist tomorrow (Thursday) to find out what he thinks is wrong with me. I keep telling my Dr. that the pain is where the muscle is in both of my arms. along with the shoulder pain. I really don't think she gets this at all. Yes, my shoulder hurts very much and I can't sleep on either side. just like you. I do not want to have any surgery, but I do believe my problem is identical to yours. I have the same symptoms are you had and have. I will let you know after tomorrow, what this physiotherapist says is wrong with me.
