@lotsofpain I am wondering how you are doing now. There have not been many replies to this post, but I had recent right hip replacement. I am close to three weeks from surgery and will see my Dr next week. About a week ago I determined that my symptoms matched Meralgia Parasthetica. I explained to my surgeons Tech and he prescribed gabapentin. It is a nerve drug and helped a great deal. I am also using lidocaine patches which also seem to help with the hypersensitivity. When I see my surgeon, I will get a proper diagnosis, but these symptoms of burning pain and soreness have set my recovery back. From my research, this an be caused by spinal anesthesia or the surgery itself. My surgeon is 5star, so this would be very unusual for him.

Hi @lotsofpain, I moved your question about meralgia paresthetica to this existing discussion that @steeldove started.
Lotsofpain, have you been diagnosed with meralgia paresthetica or do you suspect you might have it and want to find out more?
