Thanx for the description of a galley kitchen.
My kitchen you need a skate board to get from island to island. I do have plenty of counter top, but it also takes hours to clean.
My home is older also, with a lot of square footage, I wonder how I would do in a smaller home, as I’m considering downsizeing.
I’ve been getting rid of so much stuff.
It seems like all I do is clean. How about you?

@funcountess, Just catching up on posts and laughing at your skateboard reply! I have friends with kitchens like yours so they probably don't need as many walks as I to stay fit. vbg

I, too, am considering a move to a smaller home at some point and was very disappointed a few days ago that the Council for the Blind donation center was closed. Will just let the donate bags "travel" in car back until it gets too full.

One of the discoveries of this Covid year has been how much additional time I am spending trying out new recipes and the kitchen clean-up duty required! While I am happy that many/most recipes provide leftovers to be frozen for "another day", the clean-up time is truly a drag!

So Yes! that, coupled with living in a very windy, dusty area (even with those highly advertised dust reduction window installs!), I seem to be in perpetual cleaning mode. Dreaming of that time when in restaurant dining, always a favorite pastime with others, can be resumed!!
