I have a roast beef slow cooker recipe I just love. The gravy is made from a Guiness beer. I'm very Irish. Google for Guiness pot roast. It's an arm roast in the slow cooker with onions, mushrooms, carrots, potatoes, and the gravy is a Guiness beer with ketchup, wursteshire (sp?) sauce and garlic.

@Erinmfs, Sounds really yummie! A friend gave me a recipe for adding a bottle of root beer to pork for making shredded bar-b-que sandwiches. Can't taste the root beer but it truly tenderizes the pork!
