Hi... just noticed these comments when receiving emails of new messages... and I am wondering about something: I am having trouble with my ears, history of tinnitus; history of tmj; but last year or so pain and echo in ears , not infection, and mention has been made abut Eustation tube not sure of spelling, and I am wondering if some get the "cause" of the clicking happening, but are not "hearing " it but with we who have inner ear problems, we are "hearing" the clicking?
As an older person I have some hearing loss yet at the same time have hyperacousis, again not sure of spelling, and I can hear a pin drop on the floor a room away. Opposites. I have to keep asking my spouse to repeat what he says but if my hair gets between my pillow and my ear I can hear the hair moving..... and this is for many many things......now how do I explain this to an ENT? Is our hearing picking up noises that are happening to everyone but they dont hear it? Thanks, hope I am making my point .... hard to explain. J.
