Hi donfeld, I am so glad you found something that works for you!!! My heart goes out for the pain and suffering you've endured. I sure hope you heal completely. Does this cream work for skin burning? My neuropathy makes my skin feel like it's missing the top layer; sting and burn besides the pins and needles which aren't as bad as the prior described. I bought some a different cream someone else is having success with in the neuropathy group but it really didn't work for me so I'm using a 4% lidocaine liquid solution that I apply w/ a Q-Tip. It's weird how it works. Prayers and wishes for ZERO pain and peace for your soul!!! Warmest regards, Sunnyflower

Has anybody ever heard of pgb cream put out by Smart Pharmacy I just was prescribed to me by my orthopedic doctor. After insurance it cost around $67 and it is piroxicam gabapentin and benzocaine? Is anybody ever heard of it or used it or aware of it in any way? I need to know before I get involved with this.

Hey Ty, I too hope you get some answers! I think everybody's neuropathy is different per person. Mine never goes away. I feel badly sunburned almost like I'm missing a layer of skin as well as stinging and numbness. I cannot tell that I am wet when I am in a pool. It's the craziest disease ever and one of the most brutal. I take gabapentin for mine and it does help with the pain but I absolutely hate the side effects which I feel compromised cognitive ability and memory greatly.

Take good care of yourself and many blessings, Sunny flower

PS: I had 59 emails yesterday from the two blogs I am on to address. Over time it is absolutely impossible to remember which person has which symptoms and diagnoses so I find myself doing a lot of repetition as well because I am asked for information I have already given repeatedly. I think it just kind of goes with the program being there are so many of us who have similar yet different symptoms and diseases. Warmest wishes, Sunnyflower

Good evening @donfeld. Smart Pharmacy is a compounding pharmacy. Every Rx is unique and custom-crafted by the physician and pharmacy technician to meet a specific need. I used one for a couple of years. It was $75 for a medium-sized jar. It was lidocaine-based plus some other medications, including opioids if I recall. Mine were topicals which were changed regularly to increase the chance of it controlling the needle-like neuropathy pain in my hands, wrists, and arms.

It worked fairly well for perhaps an hour and then I needed more. I called my neurologist and between the three of us.....to include the compounder, we were able to stay up with the progression of the pain for quite some time. Good luck with it.

May you be free of suffering and the causes of suffering.

Chris
