If I have a low blood sugar I drink a sugar Pepsi and that brings it up to normal

There are healthier things to drink to raise blood sugar quickly, I have found. There are healthier things to drink, period. Eating a balanced diet on a safe schedule prevents low blood sugar happening unless something causes the adrenaline to kick on. I carried food for years to be prepared and safe. Low blood sugar can be a dangerous problem to have in a busy world. One textbook in college stated that people with low blood sugar are neurotic and my answer to that is that when the blood sugar drops, you certainly feel neurotic. We know more these days about low blood sugar starving the brain. That doesn't happen to me anymore thanks to a better diet and attitude toward stress and fear. We make choices. Dorisena

I’ve had my Dexcom six for two weeks now so I’m still very new with it. I’ve been diabetic though for 30 years. Had my doctors appointment last Friday and I expected her to be able to download my readings from the receiver. Apparently that’s not how this works at least not in her office. She still wants me to write down all of my readings. I’m curious about how you provide your readings from your Dexcom to your doctors. Are they able to download or are you still Keeping a log?

I easily share it with my doctor. You shouldnt need to write it down.

I follow recommended guidelines and find a sugar pepsi pulls me out of my rare low sugar episodes.

Hi , I use Libre Sensor on my arm n I also use test strips for accuracy. When I see the doc , they don’t want to see my readings from my Reader ( it reads the sugar level when u scan ) , docs prefer I write it down in a booklet .

Regarding what to take if one's glucose level is too low: Glucose tablets are made for that very purpose, and they're available to purchase nearly everywhere, except probably not the hardware store, but you get the idea. It's wise to always carry some with you in your purse or whatever just in case.
