@lioness Nothing like growing your own veggies. Are you able to grow a smaller garden? I grow a few herbs and veggies but very small. I never learned to can, froze vegetables instead. We had a huge freezer to grab what we needed. I agree it was nice and much better for you. “Organic” food was not popular at the grocery store just yet. Today, there are many options available for foods. I am sure your son finds foods with dyes derived from vegetables. I never bought foods or candy with artificial dyes and didn’t feed them to my family either. As a kid I researched the effects artificial dyes had on people, specifically red#40....all negative comments. So it was a good thing your son was allergic. For over 40 years I elected to eat a vegetarian diet except for the occasional fish. Good for him. When done right, it can be a much healthier diet. Glad to have met you too. I see your interests are in holistic healing, is that right? I will certainly ask your opinion for remedies. Take care. Wish you well. Toni

@avmcbellar Hi Nice to meet you Toni Yes one time a couple of years ago he ate a piece of candy red dye ,blew up like a balloon His wife rushed him to there Dr for a shot and Prednisone pills to take. He forgot and called me I told her yes that's why we had a garden .I can grow some things Grew green bean bush kind, tomatoes. Right now I have sweet potatoes in a big pot and beets in big pot My windows are on the south side facing sun 🌞 Yes I have done holistic meds ,herbal and homeopathics studied them all have a good book about them also 😉 ask away don't know if I can answer but will give it the good old Yankee try
