I just started bloating and it makes me look pregnant. Please help!
I am 33 years old, never been pregnant nor am I pregnant. I am on my period at the moment. Last night I had a severe BM that caused me to lose my hearing and sight at the time, cold sweats, almost fainting (thus the loss of senses). It caused me to throw up a lot. I end up sitting on the toilet for an hour trying to get the hard poop out before diarrhea starts, usually the latter causes the pain and feeling of faint and cokd sweats to disappear, this time it took hours and I ended up in the bath tub with a few of passing out (I didn't want to pass out on the toilet). Now today I have had severe cramps and pain in my lower abdomen and massive bloating there as well causing me to look pregnant (about 7 months along so it is quite extended but it is centered more so a few inches under my waist line). I have never had that bad of a BM during or near that time of month (I have had a smaller version which includes the cold sweats and the feeling faint but not to that extent, which to me has become a normal thing). I have seen a gyno in the past, was in a hospital Nov 2019 where they checked out my uterus. No endometriosis then nor at my gyno. On paper I am a healthy 33 year old (minus PTSD and a severe concussion with all those side effects, yay me). So this is new to me. Nothing has changed in my eating habits nor medication. If anyone has any advice as to help with the bloating please post. After I was finished passing everything in my system from both ends last night I did place a hot pad on my stomach and uterus but then today it doesn't look nor feel as if it did anything. Please! I need help.

@amjl81- Absolutely we can avoid talking about anything that you do not wish to pursue. I have nothing more to add here because I'm not a doctor, nor is anyone else on Connect able to diagnose what could be wrong. So please call your doctor and keep us updated. I hope that you know that we care deeply about supporting you?
After having five babies, my stomach had become flat again. We had a bathtub so long I could lie back and soak. Well, I was looking at my stomach and it looked like I was pregnant. This couldn't be as I had my tubes tied after my last child. So, I had no idea what this was. I didn't go to the doctor for that. I did go to the doctor because I was so tired, exhausted all the time. They tested my blood and I was extremely anemic. He said: How are your periods to which I answered: like Niagra Falls! I lose so much blood each month. He said you need a hysterectomy. I said "great". I wanted to feel better and if that was the answer, good. No more heavy, (two-pads at a time) periods. They would flood right through my clothes. I was mortified when it would mess my clothes at work. So, when I underwent my surgery, the doctor came in and told me they removed a cyst the size of a huge grapefruit from me. No wonder my stomach wouldn't be flat. Now, I am much older, fatter and flabby. My daughter (who is in Heaven) said "I can't pinch an inch, I can grab a slab". That's me, now!
@woogie- It's just amazing what can happen like this. My story is similar to yours. @amjl81's concern about BM's is troubling. I don't remember any problem with that.
@amjl81- Have you tried a stool softener? That might help with softer bowels. Have you called your doctor? Have you considered diverticulitis?
Update. It has been 3 days now. No hard/severe BMs. Heavy period. Drinking water, can't really eating5 a lot. No spicy foods nor salty foods as my dad has liver cancer and is on a strict diet. Pain is still there, bloating and flatulence. I do not have IBS, UC, I had a colonoscopy back in April and it was clear. I have blood work done every month or so. Had a female workup a month ago. Now with everything else I do have a fever starting Friday night. I went to fart but the last half of it I ended up pooping just a little. Good thing I had a large pad on. I still do work around the house since no one else can heft the heavy items.
The picture is me now. I was skinny prior to all this. So I am out of options.
@amjl81- If you haven't been tested for COVID-19 I suggest that you do, although it might be a simple infection it's best to be sure.
I have, several times because my dads oncologist had the whole house do it and put on quarantine.
@amjl81, have you consulted a doctor yet?
Yes. Yesterday. They said it would go away soon. And I am anemic. Both my parents have it. My dad has the hereditary kind. Iron supplements do not work.
@amjl81 - I have had similar events and belly size. You have a fever now, probably meaning infection.
You probably should have your stool tested for infection.
There is another condition that can give you the symptoms you describe. SIBO = Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth. There is medication for it.
You definitely have to see a doctor now, preferably a gastroenterologist.
@amjl81- Was there any further blood work done? Did he say what it was?
