Floaters: When to see a ophthalmologist?

As we age eye floaters become an issue and some settle to not become a vision hindrance, but I have one in the center of my eye that moves around and the rest is blurry. Have had it looked at but am seeing eye doctor on Monday because getting more blurry and can only see clearly from one eye. Has anyone experienced this? Am worried.
