Floaters: When to see a ophthalmologist?

Usually, floaters in the eye are annoying but quite harmless. However, after four days it might be good to contact your ophthalmologist and have it checked out. Have you had any other visual problems mentioned in this article such as light flashes or loss of your peripheral vision?

Having had many floaters in the past I can tell you from personal experience the sooner you see a retinal specialist the better off you will be.

As we age eye floaters become an issue and some settle to not become a vision hindrance, but I have one in the center of my eye that moves around and the rest is blurry. Have had it looked at but am seeing eye doctor on Monday because getting more blurry and can only see clearly from one eye. Has anyone experienced this? Am worried.

It has been my experience having both floaters and a vitrectomy that you probably need to see a retinal specialist.
