Burning Hand Pain
I have Cervical radiculopathy and myelopathy. I had surgery 2 years ago, but still have burning pain and sensitivity in my hand. I'm on 3400mg Gabapentin, 10 mg Buprenorphine pain patch and a compound topical. I have an appt next week with my Dr to access my meds. What has everyone had luck with to relieve the burning?

Thanks Chris, for the info and the well wishes. I know Tennessee is way behind the curve on this. There are plenty of people fighting to get it passed here. The governor will not sign it until the Federal laws make it legal in the entire U.S. Meanwhile, we obtained our little 2 oz. stockpile legally 6 years ago when we lived in California. And for Linda, a dose is a puff. That's it. A puff! She puts a little amount in a pipe, and she's good for several separate pain episodes. So what we have is going to last a long time at that rate. When it becomes legal she will be glad to stop having to smoke, but she does not feel it's too abrasive on her throat at this point. Thank-you for the info though, good to know about the best way to take it. Best to you, Hank
@ Chris trout Wanted to let every one know I have a sinus infection, so won't be able to message anyone, unless I start to feel better.
Love and prayers to all lilypaws
Hi @lilypaws, sorry to hear you have a sinus infection. My wife gets those and they are awful. Last year she got rid of one when an ENT Dr. prescribed a steroid for her. That was the good news. The bad news was her neuropathy got much worse right after doing that steroid. One thing she did do which helped her a lot was to start sleeping on a wedge, a slightly inclined cushion that we bought at Bed Bath and Beyond. It rises a total of about 6 inches from front to back, so her head is elevated. She stopped having nearly as bad of sinus symptoms and she also got totally rid of her sleep apnea which she had had for about 30 years at least. Maybe this might be something for you to try. My best to you, hope you feel better, Hank
@lilypaws Sinus infections are miserable. I hope it clears up soon.

@jestfactsmon @lilypaws Guys, I have to tell you about a miracle product for sinus headaches. Take this when a sinus headache starts, and continue about a week, the headache will vanish within the day, or two, when you take it. The product is called "Seasonal Allergy." ( It was formerly called ALJ.) It is sold by the Natures Sunshine Company, and you will find it easily on line. It is herbal, consisting of things like horseradish root, fennel, and a bunch of other things. I also use it for post nasal drip, as my sinus goo drips down my throat, and sometimes, this causes me to gasp and have trouble breathing when I sleep. This product will make that vanish as well, but takes a few weeks. I have used this product for 20 years, and no longer need steroid pills, steroid nasal sprays, nothing. I swear by this stuff, and have told many people about it. I have even told a friend who got sinus surgery, and still had sinus problems. After using this product, his sinus problems have vanished. It is about twenty bucks a bottle. Money well spent. Lori Renee
It is just called Wisemen Healing Balm. That is the name. from Amazon. Lori
@jestfactsmon Hank, I hate to hear how bad Linda is doing. She is so sensitive to marijuana, that she may benefit from CBD with the .03% or less, THC. I buy a really potent CBD oil with just a touch of THC, and the stuff does help with pain. I buy a high milligram bottle, and I swear, a whole dropper makes me feel high. I am very sensitive to marijuana, and feel high very easily from it. It is actually why I am not crazy about it, as I don't like being high. If you want to know any more about what I buy, let me know, and I will private message you. The stuff does work for pain. I feel terrible that Linda is doing so poorly. Neuropathy is a horror show. Lori Renee
Thanks Loi. Linda has tried a couple different cbd oils in the past and had no benefit from it. I doubt she will want to try it again. Usually when she has given something a chance and it hasn't worked it's real tough to get her to go back to it. We also do not have access to legal THC. But I do, as always, appreciate the suggestion as well as the sentiments. You're the best! 😊 -Hank
Hello, I hope this helps, but I feel like I am being burned alive. I described it as stinging. And or, like a brutal sunburn that has burned off the top layer of my skin. At the same time I am numb all over and can be in a pool and not feel that I am wet. I can feel temperature and pressure but not wetness. I hope those descriptions help. There are mild pins and needles but mostly mine is stinging and burning. My feet and hands are like ice and knees burn especially badly so heat on hands and feet and Ice gels on knees. Hope that helps, Sunny flower
Oh @sunnyflower you make my heart break. I am so so sorry to hear what you are going through.. Can I ask, are you able to find any relief from your pain, does anything help you? Are you aware of anything that you would like to try but can't or haven't yet? Do you have someone with you as you are going through this hellish life? Please tell me that you are not alone in your agony, I can not bear to think you are facing this alone. I have so much compassion for you, as little as that helps you, I know. With sorrow for your condition, Hank
