anyone feel more burning/numbness when sitting

Posted by notborntoburn @notborntoburn, Jul 27, 2020

Hi I am getting beyond frustrated! Laying down puts my pain at 110% ,sitting in a chair puts the numbness and burning way over my threshold of pain. I can hardly sit at a table to write, eat, carry on a conversation, within minutes I question if my feet and calves actually look as painful as they feel! They look fine yet oh the nerves just go nuts firing in all directions with a bed of hot coals. I have been on every medication to to man, even some unknown! Thanks for your knowledge Marianne

Me too. Sitting down makes pain increase. When I stand up, it hurts a lot -- I have to walk around to get limbered up. I feel best in the afternoons and evenings when I have been active all day. Waking up is the hardest. Most of the pain is those sensations of burning/stinging/numbness that we are familiar with. Some of it is aching from the beginnings of old age-related-arthritis.

I saw my orthopedist today -- he said that we can take up to 3000 milligrams of Tylenol each day without damage to the liver. That's nice to know. I take 650 mg time release caplets. I didn't know that I could take more. I'll try it. Peggy

Hi Peggy, I have never, ever heard that it is safe to take that amount of Tylenol. I know that liver is Best Buy a Tylenol is a very slow painful death. Not trying to scare you at all just wanting you to be sure you are safe.

Doctors I have seen pedal large doses of Tylenol. What does a slow painful death mean? I wouldn’t do it since Tylenol does nothing for my pain but I am a curious little bugger.

bustrbrwn22, this link describes overdose information. Intravenous N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) is used for overdose. My wife uses 600 mg of NAC three times a day during high level use of Tylenol.

Thank you all. The bottle says "Do not take more than 6 caplets in 24 hours." The caplets are 650 mg. each. Isn't that 3900 mg. a day? I will do more research into "safe" amounts of Tylenol. Peggy

I think I am wrong. I am shocked that this high dose is safe. This has to be newer info, at least it is to me. I can use higher doses but have had an aversion to taking more than two, 650mg. every 8 hours for years bc I know how painful and slow it can be to die from liver toxicity from too much Tylenol.
