I bought four short glass (mason-style) jars that I use for breakfast. Each jar gets a serving of dry oats, right out of the canister.
Then I put a little of this and that in each one - creating different flavor profiles, as they say, lol.
One may have a spoonful of peanut butter and chocolate chips,
another may have chopped dates and a bit of brown sugar,
another maple syrup and raisins,
sometimes shredded carrots and brown sugar for a carrot cake flavor.
I put them all in the refrigerator and have a week's worth of breakfasts (sometimes I skip breakfast or just have a little yogurt).
When it's time to eat, I pull out a jar, splash in some almond milk or a bit of Greek yogurt, grab a spoon, and usually head to my office room or back to studying.
I like it SO much better than cooked oatmeal. Unless they are steelcut, but those take sooooo long to make.
Anyway, that's my breakfast story, ha ha! 😀
Oatmeal with some add-ins is a favorite of mine as well, @jodeej. I also added a spoonful of peanut butter to add a bit more flavor and protein. Peanut butter and half of a sliced banana are my favorite add-ins.
Do any other members want to add their favorite breakfast?
