So Lacy, I just did this 1,000-word essay on relationships, life and kindness! So it's probably best I accidentally erased it! I might have gotten lectured on deviating from the original subject of this thread!
Anyway, as we grow our mind and bodies seem to change! What we were at one time we aren't that same now!
What I have learned, after 74 years, is the most important thing in Life and Relationships is Communication, Compassion and Gratitude! (Easier said than done sometimes!) Because we may grow apart it doesn't mean either of us is a Bad Person! We just change!
If in my case my wife and I can't live together it doesn't mean we can't still just be friends! That's how we started out over 40 years ago!
Talk to each other! Be open and be truthful! If what either one of you says the other can't handle then maybe it is time to change directions!
Minus 20 there, huh! BBBUUUUURRR! I complain that it was 20 here this morning! It's up to 56 now at 4 PM, MDT!
We have two storms coming through the Southwest this week which will be Great! We are so dry! But Hey, that's why they call this a desert!
We may get 2" here in ABQ, the mountains should get a couple of feet! I know that sounds like flurries to you all!
As for sleeping someone mentioned a hospital type bed that goes up and down! No, Thank You! I guess if I'm in a coma it may be ok, other than that it is not natural for me.
I have found that some big fluffy bed covers under your bottom sheet works Great!

Oh dear I do have a habit of changing subjects during a conversation. The counsellor who phones me (as no office visits) lets me ramble on.. then I say, ooops, now your turn to talk. Think back to the days of yore when we were so tired and fell into bed and slept all night. Am afraid I have to take a pill at bedtime now but its the lesser of two evils. I do have my ipad on bed all ready to listen to a relaxation tape or such either with speaker low or with headphones and the combination helps with sleep. One thing, our gas fired hot air furnace is in the basement right under my bed!!! So sometimes when we wake up it's because of a noise we hear... its so cold out and the newer furnaces bring in cold air, heat it up, then blow it through to each room...but as I contend: its bringing in air that is minus 20 !! Takes a long time to heat up that air. So for those who suddenly wake up, wondered if possible its because of a noisy car going by or such... when I used to go back to visit my Mum in UK the birds used to wake me up and I was ticked off... but now with cognitive thinking therapy I try and say to myself: Ahhh, nice little birdies waking me up! (grrrr... lol)
