Constant tinnitus: Are there any solutions?

I've had tinnitus for 8 years now. And it is also high pitched tones. It increases with stress, when I have a flu, or when I drink a lot of caffeine. I was wondering too if there has been any new treatment for it?

I have the same symptoms for about 10 years. Rarely do I have a day without it. At times I wonder if the outside barometer is a possible?
