I too only take 1mg Tacrolimus in the am and pm.
I had a heart Tx 17 years ago. I now take 0.5 mg of tacrolimus twice a day, and 1000 mg of cellcept twice a day. Never have had rejection and no drug side effects.
I take the same- 1 mg every 12 hours.
That’s the first I have heard. 1mg every 12 hours is definitely a blessing. It’s Been 6 years post liver transplant for me and taking 6mg a day. I guess I have long ways to go.
@jolinda I'm not really sure. It was nevered conveyed to me that the match was above average. The surgery was about 9 hours so it was not perfect for sure. They took me off the prednisone and cellcept about 4 months after transplant and lowered my tac to the 1mg. Its been working for me so far!
