Have you tried the new Protocol 525 product for neuropathy relief?
I have used the original version of the Protocol 525 product (https://theprotocolworks.com/) since 2016. I have idiopathic small fiber peripheral neuropathy with the only symptom being numbness in both legs. When I started taking the protocol, the numbness was just below my knees. After 2 months, the numbness seems to be just above the ankles which is subjective on my part with no additional testing. I do feel it is a win-win for me as my neuropathy has not progressed like I was told it would by the neurologist. I have continued taking the protocol in hopes that it may continue to roll back the numbness symptoms. I have noticed some new feeling in my feet in the last 2 months. Some feeling has returned to me feet and they seem to feel better lately although I still have the numbness – hard to describe the difference.
The Protocol 525 is not a cure for neuropathy. It treats the pain and discomfort symptoms of neuropathy without the drugs which have their own side effects. Have you tried the Protocol 525 or the original protocol? Did it help? If yes, how? If no, please share.
Note: I have no commercial investment in the protocol and I am sharing this information as someone who has found some degree of relief using this combination of supplements. I also discussed these supplements with my Mayo primary care team before I started taking them. The care team sent them to the pharmacist for review who did not have any major concerns for me taking them.

I will look into this, and thank you for the Wahls protocol diet mention
Can you share with us a List of Ingredients in the Protocol?
I am always skeptical because I've seen so many remedies that are just a smattering of B vitamins and herbs and some words the manufacturer made up.
Thank you! Peggy
I eat a low AGEs diet (a diet low in advanced glycation end products) which is also an anti-inflammatory/antiaging diet....a whole food plant based with some wild caught salmon and sardines. I stay clear of foods cooked at high temperature, added sugar, and refined breads, cookies and cakes etc. And I definitely stay away from processed meats. I eat plenty of various colored vegetables and fruit, nuts, seeds etc. I take Life Extension Two Per Day multi and fish oil and krill oil. I also take 4 supplements that either interfere with the production of AGEs or protect from the damage caused by them. They include R-alpha-lipoic-acid 250mg, Befotiamine 750 mg, carnosine (500mg 2 times), and pyridoxal-5-phosphate (100 2 times), always with food. Google any one of these substances in quotes with "advanced glycation end products" to see why I take them. Google "diet low in AGEs" to see why I have chosen this diet for diabetes as well as overall antiaging. I also do extended periodic fasts 3 to 5 days but I am very careful and have a pretty good understanding of what I am doing.
@chuckfrasher
I am with you on your take regarding AGE's. Over a year ago I started taking L Carnosine daily. One thing I have noticed is that the brown age spots on my hands have stopped proliferating and the ones already there are somewhat faded now. I do believe it's from the L Carnosine. My diet is not as tight as yours but it steers in that direction. I know that you are on the right track for your health. Best, Hank
Interesting ... I hope we hear more from people about their diet. I've been on the medical diet for hypoglycemia for 33 years. It's 0 sugar, 0 flour, very little fruit, only 2 T of fat each day, mostly lean protein and vegetables. It keeps my blood sugar steady but I haven't thought about how it affects neuropathy until now. Hi Peggy, what a tough diet to follow, I applaud you for following it for so long. I would imagine it has a very positive effect on your neuropathy as sugar and carbs are a known no-no. Helen
@chuckfrasher I saw this from the NIH.. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3704564/ ..... How often are your "periodic fasts?"
I’m happy to hear that is is working out so well for you. And even if you don’t adhere completely, you will still benefit greatly by eating mostly healthy. A side benefit that I didn’t mention is improved skin quality. And of course the improvements that you see in your skin are indicative of what is happening in other tissues.😊
😊❤️
This is a wonderful study. Thanks!! 😊
