@destinyh96 Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. You said you have an, "issue where my nose is so open and to the point it hurts my heart or ling when I breath heavy in thru my nose." You also said you may, "have smokers Lungs" due to smoking marijuana.
The symptoms you are describing, their severity, and your age defiantly raise red flags. If you have not already done so please feel free to scroll through the previous comments in this discussion. You will find members like, @bride @learningstudent have experience with this topic.
I'm wondering if you spoke to a provider/doctor regarding your symptoms?
Also, if you have difficulty stopping or cutting back marijuana, I'm wondering if you have considered addiction therapy?
May you consider this can be spiritual problem...or it's starting to have schizophrenia...
@destinyh96 -you should not be having that issue at your age. If you are a chronic weed smoker, the smoke will dry out your cilia which are the hairs that move your mucous and moisture through your nose. Once these dry out, your nose will not function as it should for moisture and humidification. Many people don’t know that their nose is an organ, just like the lungs, heart and skin...So think about your skin. If you are in the sun everyday with no sunscreen and no proper moisture, your skin will dry out and not protect you as well. Same for your nose. The dryness inside will give you the cold open feeling, you are experiencing. Look up nasal mucosa to understand it’s function. Healthy diet, fluids, exercise and moisture will help this organ, just like the other organs of the body.
