Hello @januaryjane

I'd like to invite @thull to this discussion. Perhaps you have met her in other discussion groups. While her digestive tract problems have been somewhat different than yours, she has taken a very diligent and systematic approach to eating dilemmas and dealing with digestive disorders. Perhaps she can add some thoughts to encourage and help you.

They have me on low residue diet, which does help. Any vegetables I eat have to be cooked, not eating much fresh fruits, except bananas are ok. Applesauce, canned peaches/pears. I tolerate pretty much all seafood, chicken, pork. Red meat seems to be really hard for me to digest, both from the gastroparesis and the loss of so much of my large intestine. I eat a lot of pasta. My go to when I need some nutrition but don’t really feel like eating anything solid is Boost Breeze, suitable for clear liquid diet. 250 calories and 9 grams of protein. I had to order it on Amazon. 3 different flavors, peach, orange and mixed berry. My favorite is the peach. I hope this helps!
