Visual Escapes and Daily Inspirations: Share Yours

Posted by John, Volunteer Mentor @johnbishop, Mar 16, 2020

Let's create a space to offer a daily reprieve.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a lot of uncertainty and fear into our lives. Some of that fear and uncertainty can be caused by over thinking what is going on or unnecessarily worrying. So, I'm making sure I wash my hands frequently, not touching my face, staying away from social gatherings and all of the recommended guidelines to help avoid getting or spreading COVID-19 but it can be a little boring. I try to not watch news all day long while I'm in this self imposed captivity. I like to take pictures of birds and other creatures from my window as a welcome break.

I invite you to join me in sharing pictures, favorite poems, sayings, mottos, funny moments. Let's take a daily break together.

As a comedian ventriloquist with hilarious dog on America's Got Talent once quipped about a tasty dog treat morsel: " Oh, Yes, Yes, Yes, I Want!"!! IMO, One can never have too many olives on hand. Will ff the AGT very funny quip if I can locate it. Humor is so very good for the soul!!,

Just in case anyone was curious about the newest member of our family (the puppy, not my kids :)). Meet Maggie, our mini bully terrier mix!

Thank you, John! She is a polydactyl. Look at those back feet! We call them her mud tires. 🙂

@lioness when I used to have a cocktail or two, I love olives in my martinis. As I mature, I can't tolerate alcohol anymore. So, no more olives.

@amandaburnett Cute puppy. What kind is it? I had to give up my 14 year old very healthy dog except of her anxiety. I was in a lot of pain and she new it. I did have a 9 hour fusion back surgery, with some complications. My Lily is at where I use to board her. After e-mailing them they said, "Can we please have her, we love her." I wouldn't be able to take care of her. My surgery was 9 hours long from my T-10 to my pelvis. I can't bend, twist or lift anything heavy. She's happy there I get pictures of her, but I really miss her. Enjoy your new member of the family.

Thank you, @lilypaws She is a bully/terrier mix with polydactyl back feet (two extra toes on each foot). Sorry about your Lily, I am sure once you are feeling better you can go and visit her.

@amandanburnett She is going to be a fairly good sized pupper if her feet are any indication! what a cutie! You know we will want [demand?] visual updates on her progress to adulthood, along with proof of antics involved!
