Visual Escapes and Daily Inspirations: Share Yours

Let's create a space to offer a daily reprieve.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a lot of uncertainty and fear into our lives. Some of that fear and uncertainty can be caused by over thinking what is going on or unnecessarily worrying. So, I'm making sure I wash my hands frequently, not touching my face, staying away from social gatherings and all of the recommended guidelines to help avoid getting or spreading COVID-19 but it can be a little boring. I try to not watch news all day long while I'm in this self imposed captivity. I like to take pictures of birds and other creatures from my window as a welcome break.

I invite you to join me in sharing pictures, favorite poems, sayings, mottos, funny moments. Let's take a daily break together.

What a difference a day makes! Beautiful outside yesterday - today it's for the birds 🙂 Snowing gently now but the wind is starting to pick up and the birds will be looking for shelter. I've had a pair of cardinals all morning long - fun to watch them flying around the feeder and tree branches.

Weather is a funny thing - this photo clip was taken a year ago today - April 12th, 2019 by my patio security camera. I think Summer is going to be late this year for us 🙂

Objects are closer than they appear!!! My people, I had a whole camera roll like that until I figured out my phone. You know, those photos you think you are taking, but in actuality you’ve hit the “reverse” function. And there you are. And not the photo u hoped for. Don’t tell me that has never happen to u!!! And what about that snake........

It's blooming! We have a grafted combination cherry tree in the side yard. This is the Rainier cherry branch. Not sure if the location of said tree is proper, as it is pretty much overshadowed by huge oak and madrone trees in the empty lot next door. Little tree was here when we moved in last July.

Whoo Hoo! Won the trifecta late yesterday - a cardinal, an upside down bird and a red house finch or sparrow. The sun is out it's 30 degrees and climbing to a high of 47 for the day. How is your day going?
