Let’s Go Walking! Join me for a virtual walking support group
Many of you living with cancer or an autoimmune disease, like me, deal with daily fatigue. You know that exercise is so important to your health, but it’s so hard. There’s always an excuse: it’s too cold or hot, it’s going to rain or it’s raining, or it’s snowy and icy, or I just don’t want to. I, too, have all these excuses, but I have a new rescue dog who wants to go out and who doesn’t care about my excuses! And I’ve got traction devices for my boots.Now I just need a walking group who will keep me accountable. People who say, ‘let’s go for a walk.'

Swordfish is farmed a lot and I think, like a lot of fish, there are limits on harvesting and undersized swordfish are off limits. I had it once also and didn’t like it. Our Publix always has the steaks frozen but it is probably farmed. The snake, like eel tasted like grilled meat tidbits. We also have gator bites on our Florida menus but I have never had them...they always seem to be fried. I should walk down by the water to see if I can spot any gators. Saw the dolphins when walking in Tarpon Springs once...awesome creatures. Getting ready for the gym...will be offline until tonight.

The closest I ever came to a rescue was when my Golden Lab dragged me to shore in the shallow end of the lake!

@artist01 You must live in northeast I was from PA but live in CA now saw your weather enjoy It's chilly here in 60,s it's the wind that makes it cold we have blossom's and flowers here all year long I loved to see the crocus popping there heads out of the snow

1 Reaction@lioness, I would love to see the crocus popping their heads. Alas, my husband planted many of them and we enjoyed the sight of them for one day. By the next day, the deer had eaten all of them. It is very difficult to find any plant the deer won't eat. We formerly were excited when the new fawns appeared. Now, they are just more pests to add to the herd. We have 8 acres and it is impossible to fence out the deer. We just live with them. Our dog is now aged and cannot chase them. Such is life in the woods. Enjoy your blossoms! @joybringer

6 Reactions@lioness I'm in Canada, on the West Coast, which has quite moderate winters. In past years, I've lived in Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario, where temperatures sometimes dip to -40 F.
That's why I now live in balmy British Columbia! Lol

Time for you to get another dog? Maybe a younger rescue buddy for your older boy. I got a pup for my aged rough coat collie back in the day and she LOVED him. You probably cringe at the thought of another puppy, but there are lots of mid-or-older dogs begging for a loving home. My collie was 5 when she found me at our SPCA, and she was just the most wonderful, sweet loyal dog. I'm sure you've already investigated that route. I should stop!
