intense burning inside torso

Hi, @wandasophia - experiencing intense burning sensations inside your torso and buttocks would be concerning, and I'd want to get to the bottom of it, too.

I'd like to introduce you to @becsbuddy @gardeningjunkie @rwinney @sinjin @user_ch98d0b5c. Hoping they will have some input from their own experiences as to what direction to go with this, whom to see, and how to get this addressed by medical professionals in a timely manner.

Since you can't see the doctor you mentioned again for 11 months, are you considering getting another opinion? You mentioned seeing neurologists. Is your general practitioner sending you to this specialty thinking it's something neurologic, then?

You said that you have seen some neurologists and 1 other doctor. And now have to wait until next year to see the doctor again! Yowee! Do you have a large medical center within a reasonable drive? You might consider going there. See if your primary care doctor could give you a referral. I think you might want to see a rheumatologist. Some diseases/conditions today can be very difficult to diagnose, but keep at it. Will you let me know what you learn?

Hello @wandasophia. First off I'd like to let you know how very sorry I am to hear what you are experiencing. How painful. I experience burning pain from Small Fiber Poly Neuropathy. It travels and trades places throughout my body. You mention ice packing, does that mean you are burning as in throwing off heat, like a sunburn or burning pain from within and not hot to the touch?

I've experienced both kinds and they each stink! What is your diagnosis thus far? it doesn't seem practical that you wait so long to be seen again. I suggest calling the Dr and stating your pain loud and clear, almost begging for an earlier appointment. Perhaps your PCP (general Dr., if you have one) can help expedite on your behalf by following up with this Dr. There is always urgent care if you can not handle the pain. A second opinion and maybe a third never hurt.

Good evening @wandasophia, and @lisalucier, I just had the burning torso. My most recent fire pit. It is frightening because it feels like someone lifted the skin and lit a fire underneath.

Rather than jumping up and scurrying around when it wakes me up, I find it best to wait it out. I just lie very still and as relaxed as possible. It is sort of a simple out of the box solution. My fire pits have dissipated rather quickly....30 minutes or so. They start about 4:30 a.m.

What other areas of your body have had burning? Legs and thighs? Have any of your clinicians given you a diagnosis of any kind?

And finally, does the pain always feel the same? Is it accompanied by numbness or tingling?

I filed a complaint with the hospital got an appointment in April very frustrated so I am going to acupuncture and we'll try that. I have scene 3 neurologist 3 gastro 2 andro chronologist I think through my research that I have Celiac plexus compression saw a spine doctor last week he said to stop and get off the computer research I don't nowhere else to turn
