Hey there. I was just thinking about LDN. Glad to hear your good news with it thus far! Im hoping for the best for you and I think you're on to something awesome for your self.

I'm in major pain flares these days and where as my extra strength CBD and THC collectively are not touching enough of my pain, I'm rotating with hydro (still) 4 times a day. It's been over 2 months of experimenting and still no pro.

My goal is to at least reduce final hydro pill of day so then I can take LDN at night. My compounding pharmacy said that it was acceptable to stay on hydro as long as there was the 6 hour rule of no opiods prior to bed time dose. Defeats the process of the LDN to help your brain create it's own natural opiod receptors otherwise. Long term result will hopefully be that opiods are n9 longer needed for pain.

On a side note...I've been researching my use of both medical cannibis and opiods. I'm meeting with my PCP about this next week but honestly I feel I know more about it than he does. The rotating of the 2 approaches has helped pick up slack where the other fails to produce. I will attached a couple of links about mixing opiods amd meducal cannibis. Ultimately the goal is always to ditch the opiods but is totally not possible for me at this time

I will also attached LDN link for anyone unfamiliar.

Wishing you Lori Renee and all my fellow pain sufferers a restful evening.
Rachel

@rwinney Hi Rachel, From what I know about LDN, when your first take it, there is about a 5 hour amount of time in which your opiod receptors shut down, so that an opiod would not work. Thus, you could not take your hydro at this time, because it would not work for you due to the fact that the receptors are shut down. However, you would be asleep at that time, because it would be in the middle of the night. By the time you wake up in the morning, the receptors would be functioning again, and you would be able to take your hydro and reap the benefits of taking it. So you would be fine during the day, taking the hydro. Depending on when you go to sleep, you would have to stop the hydro 6 hours before, to give the LDN a chance to function. I think this is correct. Anyway, the LDN may really work for you. You would just have to make sure the Hydro and LDN are completely separated. And, of course, you would have to have the luck that you are one of the people that LDN works for. With the severity of your pain, your heavy legs, etc. I really, really, really, would give LDN a try. It has worked well for me, and thanks for your comments about that. Rachel, I really want you to give LDN a try. It is worth a shot. At the worst, it just would not work. I heard it takes at least 2 months or so, to know if it is going to work. Thanks for all the links. I will read them. The very best to you. Living in pain is hell. The LDN is helping me a lot. I am not even going to try the Dorsal Root Stimulator yet. Thank God. No surgery. Anyway, keep us all informed. God bless, and hang tough, lady!!!!! Lori Renee
