Are there any others who suffer from dumping/rapid gastric emptying without having gastric bypass ?
I follow dietary restrictions..no added sugar including fruits and lay down after eating and take ascarbose with meals to prevent blood sugar drops.
I had a fundoplication surgery in 2013 but don’t see how this could trigger this now. I had a infection from food or water 10 months ago in Mexico. That started many problems including post infectious IBS, SIBO and the dumping.
Everything I read says dumping usually resolves a n a few months.
I am interested in experience others have had treating dumping.

Have you been tested for c.dif and h.pylori? Those are both infections that could cause the dumping. I would ask for your stool to be tested. I had fundoplication surgery which in me caused the opposite, I had delayed gastric emptying. I would ask for the stool test mentioned to rule those out.
@dheavner I am having these issues myself! Just started 2 months ago... I've been scouring the internet trying to find information.. went to an allergist and all was negative. I do have a stool test scheduled so maybe this is it!! I hope you issues resolved as this was 2 years ago. Thanks for the information in this post. It helped me.

Hi @dheavner, I'd like to bring @konniehoover @fourof5zs @faithann64 @azcyclist2018 @sickvick @downtowntiger and @claytamos into this discussion as they have had experience with gastric dumping.
You mention that you had fundoplication surgery in 2013, but that they gastric emptying/dumping only started recently, perhaps triggered by food poisoning 10 months ago. I can't imagine losing 70 pounds. What treatments have you tried? Has anything helped?
