Can liver cirrhosis cause Kidney Stones?
I have had over 300 calcium oxalate kidney stones since the early 1980's. I now have non-alcoholic decompensated stage 4 liver cirrious. Just wondering if anyone has seen any correlation between the two.
Thanks
Denny

Hi @denny2019 that must have excruciating to have so many kidney stones over the past 30+ years. Here is a research article discussing the the relationship between kidneys and chronic liver disease.

@erinal @shelly63 and @jeanne5009 all have experience with liver cirrhosis and may be able to share their experience and any knowledge they may have on this subject.
Back to you @denny2019 have you had any kidney stones since your liver cirrhosis diagnosis?
Thanks for the reply and I will follow up with the leads below. Great question since I had 5 stones since being diagnosed " but" this last year I have had not made any more stones. First time my kidneys are stone free, none on ultrasound or CT. I do not know why but i will find out why. Just hope it is not just a lull in the kidneys. Thanks again.
