I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism ( Graves disease) about 2 years ago. It is being controlled with medication well.

Hey Dwight,my name is Bo and I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism as a kid.Had thyroid surgery at age 14 in which a portion of my thyroid was removed(75%).To me the unseen effects had taken hold.Being hyperactive as a kid had many effects that had taken its roots mentally, the key word here is hyper,as a kid in school disciplined many times, teachers would say you are nothing like your brothers or sisters.Hear that enough and you start to believe.Im not tell you this to discourage you but we have to relearn to manage things.Hopefully you don't go through this but now days people have help options. My family doctor as a kid didn't catch it,actually it was my brother did and a surgeon verified the size was to big,I think it was referred to a a goiter.Ive seen a post where someone on here went through this with there family doctor and said it was not a issue only to be verified my a specialist.Im not bashing family doctors but that's the way it was for me.I hope this helps you its very controllable with meds(labs)and possibly surgery.Ihope this helps you and I wish you the best for you.Bo
