How would you know if your having symptoms

@trellg132 Glad to read that your doctor is treating the blood pressure. My husband does not take that particular med, but I know it is used to treat high blood pressure. Now that you have your blood pressure under control, you can see what may be causing your other symptoms. If diabetes runs in your family, there is a possibility of that diagnosis. However, I know people who do not have it and everyone else in the family does. It is a unique disease and different for every individual. Sometimes, it's just a matter of ruling out different problems to get to the right one. Have you been tested for diabetes?

@trellg132 If you are borderline diabetic, now is the time to start being careful with diet. It doesn't take much to throw you into the diabetes pit! I had no symptoms and had a regular blood profile, and the next thing I knew I had a letter from my PCP saying, "You are a diabetic!" I had no idea. But that was a little over three years ago, and I fight the battle every day with blood sugar and everything else that goes along with this disease. Now is the time to read about diabetes and be careful about diet and be sure to stay active. Does you doctor want you to check your blood numbers or just wait and see? It's a tricky situation. You certainly don't want to go over the line into full blown diabetes. Reading and research can help you know what will work for you. Since your family has diabetes, can you get information from them?
