Hi @veeme. Your post just says "mental disorders." Did you mean to post more about your discussion topic of Imminent Explosive Disorder? Is imminent explosive disorder something you were diagnosed with and were hoping to meet others with as well?

Yes I've been diagnosed again and again I didn't want to really post anything more but yes I definitely would like others to respond with possible solutions possibly ideas with the same disorder have I done this wrong in the wrong place? And thank you appreciated!

I'd like to invite @oprah, @hempgrama, @punkinpie, and @ta2dmom to this discussion as they have all previously discussed having a diagnosis of IED or knowing someone who had the diagnosis. They may be able to help share their insights and experiences with you if you have more specific questions for them.

Hi, @veeme - you mentioned being diagnosed with intermittent explosive disorder (IED). I wanted to introduce you to @artscaping and @gingerw, who may have some thoughts for you on this condition and managing its symptoms.

Are you taking any medications to address this disorder now? If so, what are you taking, and has it been helpful?

@lisalucier Thank you for tagging me into this conversation.
@veeme Saying this is not the first time you have been diagnosed with this disorder, can you see any similarities in circumstances that brought the second diagnosis? How was the first one handled by you and your medical team? I do not know anyone with this diagnosis, but wondering if it may be an extreme reaction to events you may or may not have control over. If you are expecting something to transpire in a certain way, but it does not, is that a trigger? Have you journalled what has set you off, noticing the time of day or your social situation, and have you seen similarities? We care here and would like to help, and some more information would offer assistance.

@veeme, Good evening. I notice that @lisalucier has tagged me in this conversation about IED, Intermittent Explosive Disorder. I also think that @gingerw has provided us all with a strategy for handling these episodes. Here is the link to the IED discussion at Mayo Clinic.

My therapeutic experience was long ago and probably before IED was identified and labeled as a separate mental disorder. To simplify the symptoms, I see them as unexpected and mild to violent. My label for them might be "unprovoked adult temper tantrum". I will review your responses to @gingerw and do some investigating. I also have a couple of questions. What is the one symptom that causes you the most concern? What is the one treatment or medical intervention that you feel helps or could help you the most? Please have peace and contentment. We are all on your team here at Connect. Chris
