Varying diagnosis for Back pain

Posted by amaddox10 @amaddox10, Jul 27, 2019

Different doctors diagnose different problems but never follow up to actually help. I hear different diagnosis from them all but no one seems to agree. So far.. SpinaBifida, Spinal Stenosis, bone spurs, herniated disks, degenerative bones....all of which causes major pain, numbness, swelling, and difficulty holding down a job to support my daughter as a single parent. How do I get a honest complete diagnosis and more importantly how can I get relief? I live in a small place and I seem to be a too far out of the doctor’s realm of expertise.

I have seen my pcp, who was a FNP...then switched to another Doctor who is an MD. I am scheduled to see yet another orthopedic dr in August. I have had rays, an mri, and ct scan which that is where I have gotten all of the different diagnosis from. My problem is no one seems to agree and therefore I’ve ended up with all of the different diagnosis. But one thing rings true across the board.... not one has given me a treatment option of any kind.

@amaddox10 I cant read xrays but can tell something is amiss. You just have to keep trying to find the right orthopedic Dr. one you like and be your own advocate about your condition keep at him about treatment. There are pain Dr.s also but first a orthopedic Dr. is one you should consult with. I know my back problems and am seeing a pain Dr. Everyone is different . You know your body better then anyone ,Wish you luck.
