@vickianne and @flagal22 its nice to see posts from the area! I live in Jacksonville now, but lived in Mexico beach before Michael! I wasn't aware that I had kidney issues until January this year! I feel very fortunate that we relocated to Jacksonville after the storm! The medical professionals in this area have made the move worth it. We were planning on moving "home" a few months ago, but my health has changed our plans. We are still planning on moving, but not until after my health gets more stabilized!

I'm sorry you had to leave Mexico Beach. But, it sounds like you are in the right place for medical help. I live in PC in the Cove. It's an old neighborhood full of beautiful trees and is just unrecognizable now. My kidneys have been getting worse for years and it's now time for a transplant. I probably have a donor and should have surgery soon. We're just waiting to hear.

@tiffersann I’m very sorry to hear of your kidney issues on top of being from Mexico Beach which was devastated by Hurricane Michael. We are also living in the Jacksonville area. We moved because of my liver issues so we were close to the Mayo Clinic before and after my transplant. We do plan to return to our home in Panama City as soon as the house repairs are done, which should be by September and depending on my recovery.

@vickianne I hope you can get a kidney transplant soon. I’ve heard about damages in the Cove from people I know who live there, to all of the trees and homes and hope your home is came through the hurricane well.

It has been my pleasure to “meet” both of you on this blog. Take care!
