I always appreciate your updates, @reibur1951. I'm sorry to see these terrible blisters, how uncomfortable!!
It sounds like the building of your house will be delayed. I can certainly understand your frustration. Hang in there and keep posting. We will continue to walk with you through this journey.
if they call them blisters iii instead of tumors yes the large one they biopsied in April and it had caner cells in it - that was why the gemcitabine Since the last of may – its two treatments every 3 weeks week 1 & 2 and off the 3rd week. and t hen was not helping added the carboplatin to week one - back then did not want to radiate - this is similarly to the one in the armpit/lymph node in February that went from goll ball to base ball to softball and busted open on 2nd or 3rd day of radiation treatment - dr afraid its about to try and break open -
Yes he is finally admitting they are painfully irritating - at least the big one he has complained about being uncomfortably when laying down ect or bumping the wrong way.
Yes house is delayed and not happy over it - its not the contractors fault as they were ready to go when I went in for initial loan visit neiter of us wanted to even do demolition till knew the load was definite and did not know that till the 22nd - the 1st Friday of the month I emailed and he came back he could not give me because the 64.5 acres was not enough collateral passed me off to the mortgage officer asked my why I had not accepted his offer of $160,000. instead of the $165,000. by time he called he had lowered it to $155,000. minus all the fees and I am tossing in $100,000. of my own savings so in end not sure whats going to happen the loan comes due on Dec. 24th ( when house was to be done) so could up losing every thing because of him - as soon as I know basement is dug to be poured will see about putting the 64.5 acres up. The $153,000.+ he put in escrow regular savings so not drawing even $5.00 of interest so far. he has fell control of it. I have to call him when I need the next payment will be part my money and part the escrow.... I will be changing banks when this is over with - its not the bank it use to be that the Schillings/Osborn family established and people trusted fully - W.O. Osborn would give just about anyone the shirt off his back and maybe even his pants!!! LOL.
He had his first radiation treatment Sep 9th (for some reason 11 instead of the 10 by calendar) and everything had to be recalculated from the Aug. 27; they had to recalculate today again - his back is becoming graphical - they are still growing - treatments 14-18, 21-23. The large one looks as if it could b ust open anytime :-(. the winged ones under his armpit if keep growing looks as if can become one beg massive one - for now they still are individual but are up against each other. I just hope they do not continue to grow.
The house is started - and it can not be finished fast enough for me - was at stand still today - but this was the progression thus far
Started the "dig" Andy Zehner and crew moved in August 31, 2020 for rebuild... By 3:15 p.m. was texted that about half done and that 25 loads of dirt (sic) looks to be all sand to me has been hauled out thus far out....
September 1 - Basement Dig finished
September 2 - Started pouring footings. All done before 5 p.m.
September 8 - Started forming basement walls
It's WOW or Shazam! (as Gomer Pyle would put it)
September 9 - Footings were finished and the basement walls were poured!!!
September 10 - Forms off an egress window cut out and egress well attached
I go up each night after we roll in from Indy and I take a truck load of the boxes I packed up in summer of 2018 to the storage shed - had to get it to put the piano and some other items in the tubs etc I brought out here and they are stored in an old semi trailer used as storage - In process of getting the 64.5 acres up for sale and have another meeting with the realtor Monday night after we get home from Indy.
Hello @reibur1951
I so appreciate your checking in with an update. I'm so sorry to hear (and see) the blisters that your friend is dealing with right now. How uncomfortable! Is there a topical treatment available to deal with these?
It sounds as if your new home is progressing quite nicely. You are certainly keeping busy between hospital runs and taking care of the new construction.
Take care of yourself as best you can as you oversee these other areas of your life and that of your friend. Is your friend living with you or does he have his own place?
