This last one I bought, was a gift for my sister in law because she liked mine so much. I also have the one for $329, the only difference that I can tell is: is case, glasses and it pulses besides staying steady lights. I use mine at full power for 10 minutes and it does fine, my husband uses it for 30 minutes. So, dont be afraid to experiment because it cannot burn you, it gets a little warm but never hot. Chiropractors and Veterinarians use them all of the time. It is a lot cheaper to buy your own (they usually charge $50-60 a visit) One man was paying $150 a week and he was dipping into his savings to pay it, he was very happy when I told him about this one.
