Hello, @stsopoci - I'd like to invite into this conversation a few others who have mentioned generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) who may also have some thoughts to share on the subject of the challenge of the waiting days or hours before a big event taking us away from the "now moment," like @jeanette52 @stressedmesseddepressed @yangedd @abomino13 @anon89880224 @deliasanderson @guener.

You mentioned trying to stay very busy before big events, stsopoci. Do you find that meeting with your friends for coffee helps in the waiting period?

Meeting with friends or new friends on my bike ride this morning, really helps to relax my constant worrying about the future. I love the exercise and the conversation that goes on in groups. Join a lot of them and sit or walk or run or bike while you are keeping your thoughts in the present moment. It’s a wonderful time void of anxious thoughts that are not REAL! Laugh, cry, have fun with positivity..... it’s good addictive behavior.
