I also have dry eyes and my highly regarded cornea doctor had been prescribing Restasis and Systane eye drops which provided me me with some relief. I don't think regular eye doctors are knowledgeable about dry eye syndrome. Now an optometrist at Johns Hopkins provides treatment but a real expert is a New York Ophthalmologist Dr. Latkney who specializes in treating dry eyes. H e took me off Restasis and Systane put me on Muro128 eye ointment which really helped. Please consider trying it. Dr. Latkeny has written a book on Dry Eyes which is worth reading.
