@cmael

My donor daughter, my husband and I went to the Transplant Picnic on Sunday. It was a warm and humid day. Although we had rain on the way down going through St Paul, and rain on the way home, there was no rain at the picnic. The food was good. There was another booth to get ice cream and they had activities like hair painting, bean bag toss, pictures with super heroes and group pictures-different transplant categories, donors and caregivers. It was a good day!

@cmael, Thanks for sharing! That is a beautiful picture of all of you!
I imagine that seeing other transplant recipients and donors was inspiring, and even emotional. I saw a news blip that there was a good crowd there. Did you see anyone that you might have known from when you transplanted? Or did you recognize anyone from their Connect photo like you did me in the lab waiting room!
Hugs.

@cmael I think it's great that Mayo does this type of thing. They tried doing an afternoon gathering at MGH last year but there were not that many people that came. I almost choked -- they had a buffet! They tell us to not eat at buffets, and then they had one? HUH?
