Frankincense and Myrrh for Neuropathy pain
Today I saw the Nutritionist that my doctor sent me to.. As usual, my feet were red and burning. She told me that many Diabetics that she counseled used Frankincense and Myrrh drops mixed with a lotion and they swore by it.. wouldn't be without it. She had some and we tried it on my poor feet right then.. It was absolutely amazing! My feet cooled down immediately and they became their normal white skin again. That was this morning and they are still okay at 5:30 in the evening.. My gosh, maybe I'll be able to sleep better tonight... Have any of you tried this? If so, what has been your experience with it? I'm hoping to hear lots of comments back...

I have no tried it,but I sure will is it just the normal oil from amazon? And how much do yo put in the lotion and what kind of lotion.? I’m red and burning right now
It is available from Walmart and is a combination of the two, plus some other things. I wrote about this yesterday and hoped to sleep all night. Well, it didn't work all night after all.. but I woke up at 3:30 this morning with back and hip pain plus the right foot was red and burning.. I used another cream on all 4 spots and got back to sleep around 4:30.. This other cream was recommended by a friend who has Ankylosing Spondilytis.. Name of this one is Topricin FIBRO Cream and it is very helpful, too.. Not quite as wonderful as the Frankincense and Myrrh, but I just now put it on my hot red right foot and already it is feeling much better. I will post more information about these as I learn and have more experience with them.. I don't know anything about the ones from Amazon except some of the reviews weren't good.. Google them all and read the ingredients listed for each, if they are listed.. I think Amazon sells them seperately and not mixed together.. Several people said they arrived broken.. And remember that the one that I tried at the Nutritionist's office was "drops" mixed with hand lotion.. About 1 tablespoon of lotion with 6 or so drops and stirred up, then applied to the burning foot... I will post more about these when I know more! It was a huge blessing to have my foot immediately start cooling down and beginning to look normal color again. And it lasted for about 12 hours or more!
Hope this helps you and others...
Hi @hotfooted, I thought I would answer your private message in your discussion since it maybe helpful to other members also. I have tried different essential oils including Frankincense and Myrrh early in my search journey to see if it would help the numbness in my legs and feet but unfortunately it did nothing for me. Not to say that it hasn't helped others that have pain associated with their neuropathy. Here are few links with some information that may be helpful if you want to investigate it's use.

I have ordered some today on Amazon, same as Walmart. Mixed reviews but over 60 % say it helps a lot . So I will try it and give a review. I have neuopathay in the feet. Tingling not pain. Prediabetes induced.
Well, today I was suppose to be using my new pink walker and attending a miniature show 2 hours away.. 3 people were going with me.. but I had to call and cancel because I was awake all night with burning burning feet and the anxiety and excitement of actually going to an event that I've looked forward to for a month.. It was a long and miserable night for me. I am still waiting for my order of Frankincense and Myrrh to arrive. It is suppose to be here Tuesday.. But yesterday I purchased individual bottles of each "essential oil" , had decided to return them because they were only 20% mixed with other stuff and my husband thought they wouldn't help me.. Long story short, he rubbed each foot this morning with drops of each without diluting them any further.. Right now my feet are tingling a whole lot and feel hot on the bottom.. but the intense pain has settled down to a dull roar and my mind isn't consumed with it.. I will post again later to let everyone know how long this phase lasts.. Just to note: The essential oils are not soothing the pain even nearly as well as the brand I ordered from Amazon, which is Frankincense and Myrrh Neuropathy.. This is the same one the Nutritionist used on me at the clinic..
I'm so sorry for the bad night... I have had it awful for a couple of days,.. It eases up, but comes back. I am on 300mg lyrcia, and I also do cbd oil...What do you take..?? we are suppose to leave tomorrow in the rv for a 2 week trip and I am extremely up tigjht because I hurt so bad. I also have a planters facistis on one foot. I have been to so many doctors and no one has said anything for sure.. I go to a neuromuscular specialist when we get back.Maybe she can tell me. How do you think a walker will help when your feet burn to stand up[? I may need one. Is that a oil you ordered in a blue box, 2 for 35. I don't see a cream and I am so tire of buying things that don't help[. I am so desperate I paid 255.00 for a pair of shoes to wear.
The awful burning pain does come and go... I think we're blessed by the grace of God when we have a good day! As for your 2 week trip in an RV, I hope it is a good one.. The walker that we bought online is being sent back tomorrow.. I wanted it for the seat and place to sit down when my feet hurt too bad, but this one wasn't good for just walking.. and it altho it was suppose to be narrow, the front wheels when I was sitting were really far apart.. I was afraid that I might trip somebody up in the crowded miniature show and that wouldn't be good! My husband sat in it and as he sits with his legs apart it seemed to fit him better.. I'm a lady who sits with her knees closer together, just the way I'm built, and that made it harder for me to know just where those wheels were without always looking down at them. For me I think a wheelchair would work just as well, and I already have one of those.
If you are looking on either Amazon or Walmart, the brand name is "Frankincense and Myrrh Neuropathy" ... One bottle in a box and comes with an eye dropper. The Nutritionist put about 6 drops of it in about a tablespoon of any hand or face lotion/cream.. That is what we have ordered from Amazon. The reason for ordering from them is they ship it faster if you use their "Prime" - rather than from Walmart.. Altho they are the exact same thing and cost about the same, around $20...
Good luck with your Neuromuscular doctor.. and let us know how that goes.. and I, too, have been desperate to find shoes that don't hurt my feet, both on top (skin mostly) and bottom (burning).. Merrells use to make some that were terrific for my feet, but don't seem to have that quality nowdays.. Open toe slides, anyway.. Fortunately I have a couple of pair that I never wore very much in the past, and they are the best for me now.. Sometimes you can find them on Ebay in your size, but look for the ones that say NEW or barely used.. Merrell Palmetto is the one I like best and they do last a long time.. The footbed conforms to your own foot after you wear them a few times and you don't want any that have been worn much by someone else's foot pattern..
I hope this cream mixture works for you, but it doesn't for everybody... Moderator John tried it a long time ago, but it didn't help his kind of neuropathy.. I guess it matters which layer of nerves is affected maybe... Please stay in touch and let us know how it goes for you.. and hope you enjoy your trip..
Thank you for your reply.. I will order some as soon as I get back.. I just love Prime !!!
I was so desperate I went to foot solutions yesterday.. I purchase a pair of Finns for 255.00 just so I would have something for the trip .. I would never have done this, but nothing was working.. I have purchased no less that 10 pairs from amazon and had to sent them back.. I have a pair coming today that I will have to mail back tomorrow with 2 other pairs I have here. Im' going to get my feet the special orthotics when we get back and pray they help some..IThis foot with planters facistis is killing me, I have had to shots in my heel and they don't seem to help. I do everything on the internet that is suppose to help. I walk with a bad limp because my nerves are partially dead from my spine.. I have only had this awful burning for 3-4 months.. I think I may have had a little in the past,, like don't like cover touching my feet, but never thought that much about it. What is causing yours?? I don't even know for sure what I have . The neuro dr. mentioned sfn.. What meds do you take?? I'm 72 and we had plans to travel, but I have to get better..
Hi, @peggyn - I have also had plantar fasciitis, and it hurts a lot. I ended up partially lame for 1.5 days every time I went for a long run when training for a half marathon. Resting the foot (not overusing it) made a difference for me, as did some PT exercises and using a splint at night. If you'd like to read what some others have done with plantar fasciitis, you might look at and participate in this Connect thread https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/i-have-had-plantar-fasciitis-for-7-weeks-following-a-partial-knee/.
Lisa! I have done all of the above except orthotics . That is my next step. We are on a rev trip right now and I,m going in as soon as I get back. My foot hurt so bad on Saturday I could cry. I went in and spent 255.00 for a pair of shoes, which is a first for me. They are called Finn and they have been great so far. I hope it stays that way. I went to foot solutions and she said they can help me.
