@ formydad i have the itching also. I found dry brushing helps a lot. I am scheduled for c scan Friday on my brain and my body. Been off All treatments since last May when I had radiation for left adrenal gland. Nov. C scan showed no new growth. I have adjusted well to my ostomy. Although I have episodes of leaks. Praying for strength for you and your father.
Thanks! For the suggestion i will pass on to my dad! What exactly is dry brushing? so glad to hear your doing well! My dads biopsies came back all three are cancer. He is awaiting next steps from doc and oncology if insurance approves could be proton therapy. Please continue to pray dad spirits seem ok - he is doing the next thing. And thats all we can do! Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers! please Keep it up!
@formydad It must be upsetting to get the results with those findings. How is the family, including your dad, doing with all of this? Bedides our prayers and positive thoughts, how can we help you?

Yeah its sad. But the doc told him ahead of time he believed it was cancer but had to be sure. The support and prayers and answers to questions are more than enough i receive from you all! Dad gets tired more easily and that makes sense. Hes just waiting on what steps to take next
He’s currently thinking about my mom who just got an mri for her stomach and is concerned about those results prob get some info on both monday- hoping news is not so bad. Thanks for your concern we’re all just pressing on😊
Oh yeah! My dad knew what dry brushing was so no need to explain thank you! It does give him some itching relief but very little 😊
@formydad I don't really know much about your struggles, they are different from what I have been through, but we are all thinking of you and your parents and hoping for the best. To have both parents dealing with health issues at the same time has to be very difficult and exhausting. Take care of yourself too. You can't be there for them if you don't.

Yes. i understand that for sure! And i am taking care of me. Thanks - i have a wonderful husband and church family and support here. I really just appreciate the place to bounce questions and talk a bit. And i know not everyones situations are the same thats why i think so many people find this place helpful- someone can relate almost somehow with something and even when its not the same. Theres still something to say. I really just appreciate it. Im not a hugely public person i have no online platform presence -This would be the most ive ever shared. And i am just trying to help my dad. I really appreciate the help. I know no one are doctors but sometimes thats not what your looking for just someone whose been down a similar road or someone who can offer an opinion. Thanks again for All the info and cyber hugs. 🙂
We’re always here for you @formydad . Whenever you need to talk or cry, we’re here for you. Becky
@formydad I like that your dad's doctor is realistic, and upfront with information. I have found that to be a great comfort, even when the news or message may not be what we want to hear. I wonder if the stomach issues with your mom may be related to stress and all the emotion of your dad's health journey? If so, that would be certainly expected! I am glad you have chosen to share with us. You are helping others by expressing yourself and all that goes along with your role in your folks' health concerns.

@gingerw I agree, even when the news is bad it's good to at least know. When it took so long to figure out what my problem was and they finally figured out that I had cirrhosis it was almost a relief, to just have a diagnosis!
@formydad As Ginger said, you are helping others too with your journey. Sometimes it just helps to know that others have gone through similar problems.
