@yas

thank you for replying! but yes my boyfriend has made an appointment to get tested sometime next week and be treated as well since we did have unprotected sex. i’m thinking i maybe have a possible uti seeing how my urine smells like hot dog water and my flank pain along with the urgency to pee is still current. i’m just confused because of negative results whenever my tests would come back referring to a uti. is that common to get a false negative ?

@yas, it is not uncommon to get false negatives when testing for a urinary tract infection. This article explains https://www.bustle.com/p/what-it-could-mean-if-you-have-uti-symptoms-but-a-normal-urine-culture-9985981

@yas it sounds as if your boyfriend has not been tested or treated yet, so if you have continued to have sex you would again be exposed to Chlamydia. Once treated you need to abstain until you are both treated and clear of it, otherwise as Colleen mentioned you will pass it back and forth.
