According to this information on Chlamydia from Mayo Clinic
"Chlamydia trachomatis is treated with antibiotics. You may receive a one-time dose, or you may need to take the medication daily or multiple times a day for five to 10 days.

In most cases, the infection resolves within one to two weeks. During that time, you should abstain from sex. Your sexual partner or partners also need treatment even if they have no signs or symptoms. Otherwise, the infection can be passed back and forth between sexual partners."

Has your boyfriend also gotten treatment?

thank you for replying! but yes my boyfriend has made an appointment to get tested sometime next week and be treated as well since we did have unprotected sex. i’m thinking i maybe have a possible uti seeing how my urine smells like hot dog water and my flank pain along with the urgency to pee is still current. i’m just confused because of negative results whenever my tests would come back referring to a uti. is that common to get a false negative ?
