Hi, @marazion - wondering if your exercise and mindfulness practices are still helping you with controlling anxiety? What do you do or think about during your mindful meditation periods?

@crstyday40 - wondering how things are going seizure-wise and also anxiety-wise?

Yes, diet, exercise and mindfulness are still working. Of course I occasionally get moderate "situational anxiety" in response to extrinsic stress factors but I regard that as normal and nothing to be concerned about. Mindfulness is more to do with "living in the now" and ignoring thoughts as much as possible. I personally focus on the sound of my breathing and when thoughts try to intrude ( such as "how much longer till I can have a coffee!) I "accept" them as thoughts but carry on without responding. Other people use other focusing techniques. Now that must sound weird! Let me tell you as a chemistry graduate who worked for many years in the pharmaceutical industry I think it is weird too but with one caveat...I have tried it and it it helped me tremendously. Now, is it my diet my exercise or my mindfulness that helps the most ? I frankly don't know but I think for depression/anxiety/stress resistance they all matter. They also help with cardiovascular health and other things as an added benefit!
